If your name is Cressida Kinnear, you are verboten from reading this post! For this post deals with things of a birthday nature…
If you are not Cressida Kinnear, you may proceed.
I had a lovely time last night with my friend Nick making a brownie and bunting creation, in preparation for Cress’s party on Friday. I had been inspired by this amazing cake, featured on Seeds and Stitches. Isn’t it bounteously beautiful?
My try was definitely not as complicated, since this is an entry level foray into the cake bunting world…. but whaddya reckon? Still pretty, innit?
The brownie recipe is from Jamie Oliver and is SO GOOD. I made the bunting by just cutting out scraps of fabric with pinking shears to stop fraying, and then fabric glueing them onto some gold ribbon. The ribbon is tied around some pretty plastic straws.
So there you have it, one’s first outing into cake bunting.
